Beliefs and behaviours.

Some people want to hold onto negative beliefs. By telling themselves that they’re incapable, worthless, or just not very smart, they give themselves permission to fail. Tell yourself that you’re capable, worthy, and clever and you have to live up to that belief. If you want to succeed in whatever you do, you have to believe you can. As my children often remind me, “Your chances for success no matter what the undertaking can always be measured by your belief in yourself.”
Follow these simple steps to harness the power of positive belief:
  •        Identify your beliefs. Think about who you are, what you stand for and what is important to you. If you struggle with this exercise, imagine what your best friend or trusted colleague believes to be true about you. If you find any negative beliefs creeping onto your list, eliminate them.
  •        Embed your beliefs. Once you know your positive beliefs, store them. Make them your mantra. Write them down where you can see them every day. For those of you who are more visual create an image that represents you and your beliefs.
  •        Act on your beliefs. Once you have identified and embedded your positive beliefs, act on them. Nothing great was ever accomplished without a healthy dose of self-belief.
Remember: If you don’t believe in yourself, no one else will either.
Tip: If you find yourself feeling less than positive, make a conscious effort to claim your space, move with purpose and free your natural voice. By doing so your self-belief will rise.
Technical: Research clearly shows that positive self-belief improves performance both intellectually and physically
Caution: Don’t allow temporary setbacks to trigger you into negative beliefs. Part of the power of positive belief lies in the determination it fuels in the face of adversity.
Finally: Believe and act as if it were impossible to fail. You may be in for a pleasant surprise.http://greenpowerindia.blogspot.com

We can only do small things with great love. ..................................... Mother Teresa

From 1929 to 1948 Mother Teresa taught at St. Mary's High School in Kolkata, but the suffering and poverty she glimpsed outside the convent walls disturbed her. She left the convent school and devoted herself to working among the poor in the slums of Kolkata. She had no money so she started an open-air school for homeless children. Soon she was joined by many voluntary helpers. Help flowed in from various authorities. This made it possible for her to start her own order 'The Missionaries of Charity' to love and take care for those persons whom nobody was prepared to look after. Today the 'The Missionaries of Charity' has over one thousand sisters and brothers, many of whom have been trained as doctors, nurses and social workers.http://educationpowersindia.blogspot.com

Advices

1. Never praise your parents ( us )before your in laws. We know how
to command respect and honor. We don't need you for that. If you
praise us , then some day you may have to hear criticism also.
2. Take particular care of the sisters of your husband.  ( If daughter is happy, mother is happy) !3. Don't react to any one's conduct vis a vis other. They might be
having their own reasons, old issues supporting the conduct.

4. Give your views if there is need. Do not insist. Never talk with
your in laws reg your husband. They know him better than you !

5. Never talk regarding your in laws with your husband ! He knows
them better than you.

6. Don't bother if they talk with your husband regarding you. They
are entitled to do that. He is their son/ brother !

7. Do whatever mother in law tells you. Don't reply back , even if
she is bit harsh/unreasonable! It takes two to fight.

8. Never talk leave aside complain about any one to your husband.
A lot of things loose significance of their own. Talking about them
only prevents their natural death.

9. You simply do your duty. Serve your in laws more than you served
us. There is no ego of yours vis a vis them. Because you are agent
of your husband before them. Serve them not as "your" Mother/
Father/Sister in law . Serve because they are mother/father/sister
of "your" husband. Act not in your independent capacity vis a vis
them, but as agent of your husband. Then nothing will hurt you.
Because you have not established any relationship of your own. All
relationships are due to relationship of your husband. ( Once you
are an agent, ego reduces drastically)

10. Respect everyone, but be "devoted" to only your husband.

11. If your husband talks about any of his relations, bad or good,
listen and ignore. Say – you are the best judge. Never add fuel to
the fire. If according to you he is wrong, say so with reasons.

12. Take particular care of children in your sasuraal. Spend money
on them. Love them really.

13. Never tell a lie to any one particularly to your husband- come
what may ! If you don't want to say – better boldly say " I don't
want to comment" than " I don't know" , if you really know. Eitherkeep mum or speak truth as a law. Truth prevails.14. Never compare before any one your parents' house and your newhome.

15. Be pro active in household work. Become happy if you are
required to do some more work on some day. Never hesitate in working
more. The body doesn't depreciate if you work more. It becomes
stronger. Feel happy if you have lightened someone else" work
load. " I will work, you take rest" – this should be the goal.

16. SELF RESPECT means respect of self by self not respect of self
by others. Doing one's duty diligently is real self respect.

A grateful nation remembers your enduring contribution and supreme sacrifice

When it comes to the term Youth Icon, I cannot think of a better person to award the title to than the late Rajiv Gandhi. Rajiv was our 7th Prime Minister from 1984 to 1989 and his life, his ideas, and his deeds, remain an inspiration to youngsters even today. More than anyone else in modern Indian history, RajivGandhi is personally responsible for empowering youth in transformative ways.
Vision about India

I have collected most of the famous saying and quotes of Rajiv Gandhi (20 August 1944 – 21 May 199
“India is an Old country but a young nation…I am young and I too have a dream, I dream of India Strong, Independent, Self-Reliant and in the front rank of the nations of the world, in the service of mankind.”

His key achievements :
  • Strengthened grass root democracy through Panchayati Raj Institutions
  • Ensured greater partication of youth in democracy by reducing the voting age to 18 years
  • Provided for the women’s reservation in local bodies.
  • Initiated Rural Electrification and drinking water misssion
  • Revolutionized the IT and Telecom Industry

"Life is a great school

Whatever happened, it happened for good.
Whatever is happening, is also happening for good.
Whatever will happen, that too will be for good.
What have you lost for which you weep?
What did you bring with you, which you have lost?
What did you produce, which has perished?
You did not bring anything when you were born.
Whatever you have taken, it is taken from here.
Whatever you have given, it is given here.
You came empty handed and you will go the same way.
Whatever is yours today, will be somebody else's tommorow,
And it will be some other's later.
This change is the law of the universe
And the common theme behind My Creation.

"Life is a great school for the development of character"

Happiness, Hope And Confidence

Happiness: Our moods and temperaments either spiral upwards or downwards over a course of our lives. For most of us, it’s usually a roller-coaster ride of ups and downs. All of us long for happiness. So, if we are able to provide that to someone,  other’s reciprocal nature will ensure that we gain joy in return as well. So, go on. Make an effort to smile- always. We can’t please everyone all of the time but surely we can brighten someone’s day?   Confidence: All of us have potentials to achieve great things in life, but most of us are not motivated or optimistic enough to spur ourselves on over our lifetime to fulfill our life goals to make this world a better place. Be that someone who will enable others to see the positive side of things, that someone who tells stories of inspiration to others, that someone who lets others know of perseverance and determination. As you go about encouraging others, you will feel encouraged too. Hope: In life, we should live life with hope and optimism – with a certain degree of pragmatism. While steering away from being a perfectionist and an idealist, we should live life knowing that things are getting better and better.

Govt may extend RTE provisions till Class 12

The Right to Education Act 2009 (RTE Act) passed by the Parliament of India makes education a fundamental right for all children between the ages of six and fourteen. The Act was enforced on 1 April 2010 and is a landmark development in achieving universal elementary education.Delhi education minister Arvinder Singh on Monday said the government is planning to extend the scope of Right to Education(RTE) up to Class 12. At present, the provisions of RTE are applicable till Class 8. Singh said this while answering to questions by several members in the Delhi Assembly’s budget session regarding implementation of RTE in Delhi schools.
Singh added that the government plans to appoint more than 13,000 teachers in various categories in the Education department.
“We feel the need to move beyond the RTE. We also wish to implement the provisions of RTE up to class 12,” said Singh. Replying to queries raised by members about shortage of teachers in government schools, Singh admitted that there is a shortage of 6,000 permanent teachers, but 3,793 guest teachers are there to fill in the gap.
“We will soon fill up all vacant posts,” he added.
Giving information about the implementation of RTE in Delhi Singh said Delhi has one of the best student-teacher ratios, at 38:1, in the country.

Monitoring the Right to Education | The Right to Ed

The Right to Education Act 2009 (RTE Act) passed by the Parliament of India makes education a fundamental right for all children between the ages of six and fourteen. The Act was enforced on 1 April 2010 and is a landmark development in achieving universal elementary education.

This Act is probably one of the first examples where the implementing agency i.e. the Ministry of Human Resources Development is different from the monitoring agency. The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) has been chosen as the monitoring agency under Section 31 of the RTE Act. Along with NCPCR, the state commissions and Right to Education Protection authorities are also responsible for monitoring. Some of the measures taken by NCPCR include –

• Establishment of an RTE Division within NCPCR

• Appointment of state representatives to assist NCPCR

• Maintaining a web-based portal for registering and tracking complaints online

• Social Audits and public hearings to be conducted at regular intervals

The RTE Division website (http://rtemonitoringcell.info/) is an excellent attempt by NCPCR to disseminate information about RTE.
